Stacy Grondel is the founder and owner of Blue Glacier Healthcare. She is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelors of Nursing. Stacy has been working in long-term care for more than 17 years and is recognized for her expertise in the RAI process, audits and appeals, clinical processes, and clinical reimbursement. She started working with the RAI process as an MDS nurse in 2009, and won the “Founders Scholarship” from AANAC. In 2014, she became the Regional Director of Clinical Reimbursement and oversaw 19 buildings in three different states. She’s trained several MDS nurses and regional MDS consultants, many of whom have become experts as well. She is currently the Director of Medical Review and Education and is responsible for over 48 skilled nursing facilities. She became a master teacher in August 2018 and has enjoyed teaching workshops throughout the country. Stacy joined the AAPACN Expert Advisory Panel in August 2019. She has recently formed an MDS Council in Utah to help troubleshoot issues and educate MDS nurses. Stacy loves the RAI process and the MDS. She finds great joy in teaching others the value of the MDS nurse role and how it can impact the lives of the residents they serve.
